My first plan had been to take US 40 across but there was something always nagging me in the back of my mind and I finally figured it out. Walking on interstates is illegal. There are plenty of roads that mirror US 40 and will be trekking these. I will start in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina and end in California at Redondo Beach where I shall fall into the water in truly dramatic fashion.

There will be video of it. I might add “We are the Champions” for a theme…or maybe not. Yeah, probably not. Here is the planned route. It is subject to change at any time on the walk due to any number of factors.
